Musical Courses

The Community Band of Soresina organizes various musical courses in different degrees of ability, all held by professional teachers graduated at the Music Conservatory with a specialization in the instrument they teach. This was agreed upon in order to improve the quality of musical teaching and of course musicians’ skills and abilities too, who will then have a better musical preparation and capability, in case they would decide to go on studying music as professionals and enter the Conservatory. Wind and percussion instrument courses are open to everyone, without limitations, starting from the age of 8.

Another course has been specifically created for small children (4-7 years old), held by a specialized teacher. The course program is based essentially on the Orff method which includes both playing and body motion to start musical activity first, before the use of a musical instrument is actually approached, at a later stage. At the end of this course the child is ready to easily access the real instrument courses.
